Hello to all I am a catia designer, I work in the airfield and I stand approaching another software like rhinoceros! you could kindly help me in starting to understand how this software works; and if you have some material to provide me!

parts from their site, there is a lot of material, and obviously from the program, if you know how to use catia it will be very simple.

I use rhinoceros and to my modest knowledge is a toy in comparison to catia.

besides the tutorials there is this book "rhinoceros 3d and modeling nurbs"
of the imago editions authors daniele natti and francesco caraccia in my opinion great, however if you already know catia you will have no particular problems:biggrin:

and try to googlare a banal: www.rhinoceros.com? or a nice video tutorial of rhinoceros,....but the human nature is lazy: we know it well!
As far as I associate myself with those who put the question: Why go from catia to rhino? Maybe it depends on the house/office equation!! ! !

I would like to ask for something I have to reinstall rhinoceros after an update installation error to sr 8.
While installing I can only get to version 4.0 after which it stops when I go to put the sr.5. My mistake appears: error 1310. error writing to c:\program file\rhinoceros 4.0\system\rhinoversioncheck.exe verify that you have access to that directory. I don't want to format everything. I would be happy if some kind soul knew how to give me an answer.thank you

you should book a book in the library, there is a beautiful one (year 2008) if you have the sbam card you book it via the internet.

the book that recommended you I read also I... exhaustive and quite clear...but to really get results in a short time I recommend a course from a good trainer. You can understand certain inherent mechanisms in the construction eater. The book tells you what a network is and how to get it... but it doesn't tell you the logical process for which I decide to make a network instead of a loft.

It's good money.

I had a few things with the book after a month. made the course of a week I began to draw quietly. :biggrin:

Hello, I am a new user (of this section) and I would like to approach rhino, said this, I introduce that I looked on google and bookstores and, of course on youtube, I wanted to ask, a good text to insert according to you? the book of the imego I have seen is of version 1 and, now there is the 4.. there are more.. "current"?
the courses cost and, for now that I have already enrolled in a course for c4d, a course for rhino is excluded, but r., making it as master for modeling nurbs I was interested rather.

rhino is very simple to use.
There's a help that calls you back with the f1 button (if I don't remember bad) that also shows you videos

thank you, so much to know, I come from autocad 2/3d (which by now I use it quite well since I passed all versions from r14 onwards.. ) and, I heard that it is 'similar' in alqune things, I mean.. Is it like all the cad? extruding and working on surfaces (I have no experience with nurb modelers, the first to whom I am going to learn are c4d and rhino). .
