happy to all, I am new to this room because user of solid edge... Now I have a problem involving cocreate.
I should import .pkg files into solid edge so I would need to convert them to iges parasolid or step... who gave me pkg files tells me not to be enabled to convert them (possible? what license do you have?) how could I do? if I install the personal edition I can do the conversion? otherwise how could I do it?

no, the personal version does not matter commercial pkg files.
your colleague may need to enable step and iges interfaces, which do not leave by default. At that point it can export to these formats.

Hi, yotama.
your colleague (as has already introduced hunter) should enable packages as they do not have loaded automatically.

the command is inside the menu "applications" -> "modules" -> "data interfaces" then must ensure that the various formats "iges", "step", "stl", etc. are flagged.
even the basic license should allow you to select them otherwise it means that your colleague's pc/software has something wrong.

Hi.

hi to everyone, I would have a request to do .I have a file with par extension (I assume that it is native to solid edge) and should transform it into a standard format (iges, step, sat).what can help me?
Thank you.

help... says that also export to iges and step is disabled. . .
says his license is a light but I do not know the product cocreate
I don't know if this is possible or not

How do I do that?

spit in an eye!
the "light" version, which does not exist, is that "free" and, intelligently, those you cocreate, which I did not, do not allow you to export or save anything.

but the free not from outside .pk2 instead of pkg? if he has pkg how can he not live them?

Let's make it clear.
Who did pkg?
If you have pkg means you have a full license, if you have pkg2 ree (rename a file extension is not complicated.
He may have the "visualizer" opening the pkg, but it seems to me that he could also export to some neutral format, I don't put my hand on fire though.

Where the hell did he get them?

The only alternative is to ask who a full license to convert them, if they're pkg, otherwise "nisba"!

are there other cads opening .pkg? I know, inventor pro alibre or others?
or maybe a converter pkg to ...

will be about fifty parts in three assemblies... but there's all a confidentiality speech that rightly prevents me from spreading files... I must be able to arrange... If I install a demo or a "demo" I can succeed?

I don't understand.

if the designs were made with the free extension pk2 you can not export to step or iges

if they are made in pkg you cannot open them with free because it reads only pk2 and is not enabled to read neutral formats.

so how are these files and what are the software available?

are pkgs and I have powers to import into solid edge so I need to convert them into iges step or other neutral formats.. .
but who did pkg with cocreate says he is not allowed to convert them. . .

Wait, wait, clarify the term "habilitate".
If you have an osd license to export in step (or other neutral formats) if you are not "able", i.e. authorized, from your company then the speech is more complex and I don't think it is a sw to solve it.
