I asked just before the holidays directly to the dealer and, as mentioned in another forum, they tell me that the new version will be released for February. they did not want to tell me the news, but only that there will certainly be two big ones and (to tell them) they will be really big [non vedo l'ora!]. I also asked for manuals and confirmed that most of the paper material is already translating it.

for my experience the Italian dealer is not very reliable after all the unexpected promises that made us on prosteel would not amaze me if the new version of the program presented the interface in Italian and all the manuals in English, with the promise that next year there will be also the manuals

My company also abandoned prosteel. the passage to tekla was made just over two years ago. the reasons were many: from the poor efficacy of the program that presented many basins to the slowness caused by an increasingly heavier autocad to arrive at the technical support of the assistance that in many cases was unable to solve our problems and promised software developments that were never implemented by the mother house.

hi blind, from how you write I know that of demo you have seen very few (in my opinion). and talk about autocad as yourself using version 2000 (it has been 12 years since this!).

I can assure you that autocad 2000 despite being an obsolete software has a 3d design management clearly superior to the latest versions (2010 and 2011) that despite having added uili tools they are very heavy and slow.

my pc has little more than a year of life, for work needs I have two partitions on one I installed autocad 2000 and on the other autocad 2011.
I can assure you that opening the same design autocad 2000 takes 1/3 of the time and is much faster even in the 3d display and rotation commands

I think who buys a program like advance steel, which costs a nice package of money, has the right to a manual in Italian.

I am happy that your colleague gave the documentation in Italian, I wrote only because vannitrevisan had said (http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?t=29853&page=4) that manuals have not yet been produced.

hi tautor, we are (I believe) all users of technometal 2d that carried out, according to me, dignified his work, but I can not say the same of his evolution (the 4d) we have it, but I think it has been used six months. it was wrong of everything, from marking to collisions, etc. abandoned definitively, when, despite 1000 reminders and reports, the producers timed and instead of improving they worsened more and more. with other manufacturers/ retailers did not happen this and so we opted for more.

we are very satisfied with tekla. Although the product is not Italian the program is all translated into Italian both the interface and all the manuals.
more harpaceas gives us a very valid technical support, their technicians are always very friendly and competent

hi tautor, as already mentioned in other forums, we followed their suggestions (we were not obliged to do anything!) and I must say that they turned out to be excellent. graitec is becoming increasingly close to what was "promitted". I break a spear on the assistance that according to us and our external collaborators, is courteous (as you write) and capable.

Hello, I recently purchased the advance steel program, coming from a multi-year experience with prosteel, I would have a first series of questions about problems/dubs encountered during modeling:

1) Can you change the name of the views by selecting the object on the model, instead of the rename of the “project management” window?

2) is it normal that each object (profiles, views,...) is inserted by default on the work layer, rather than in the respective layers? is there a set to do?

3) and possibly, you can create other dedicated layers (e.g. floors separated by views, columns separated by beams etc...) and let go of each type of object in your layer instead of moving them by hand one by one?

4) is it possible to display the profile name in the model without having to do 2d views every time to check?

5) is it possible to clean the profile database from the various foreign databases? (as you did in the prosteel) otherwise every time a very long list appears and to look for a profile it takes a lot of time

6) very often (not always) does not work the advance button to visualize isometric: is there any limitation in use?

7) why does the license we received tell me that it is valid for about 45 days and is not definitive?

8) we have created the rooms and assigned a name each to make the assemblies: If we generate all the views that are automatically impounded, there is no room name and I cannot recognize them. How do you activate the name? even the name of the profiles does not come, while if we do the manual views you.

9) is it possible to order labelling styles alphabetically? otherwise there is a very long list and to find one....

10) we have created a custom labeling style and saved it but, when I go to assign the style in the process manager, it does not appear on the list and therefore I cannot recall it. How come?

11) if we want to change layers, collars etc. and use the “autocad brush” changes all properties, including profile type, insertion point etc...: is there an alternative system or settings to change to avoid it?

12) in case of multiple copying: can you always lock the filter on x or y instead of having to give it back for each single piece?

13) we cannot find the pipe database, to add a measure: where is it? is it possible to have a list with the names of the profile classes to be used, corresponding to our standards?
