tube 3d

I have a problem to pose; I would like to model a tube (with a given section) to wrap over a coil. I don't know if the easiest way is to create a 3d sketch and once modeled the basic profile of the section, perform a sweep. the problem is to be able to create exactly the helical trajectory of the winding which, however, must then wrap itself on the second layer with greater diameter....to understand what happens more or less with the fishing wire on the reel........

3d sketch and sweep is fine, it also implements the curved intersection function, playing with surfaces should not have problems.
