pc board for use with 3d autocad

Hello, everyone.
I am an aerospace engineering student and I need a computer that is suitable for using autocad 3d (also rendering features a little more advanced).
I would like to know from you industry experts what you think of the following configuration (of course not professional, but it corresponds to my current budget) and, above all, if it could cause significant slowdowns or problems.

motherboard: asus p8z68-v lx;
cpu: intel i3 2120 3,3ghz 3m of l3;
video card: asus engts450/di/1g ddr3
ram: 4gb to 1333mhz;
power supply: 550w

In my opinion, at least one i5 should be taken into account, at least for renders.

Friday I mounted on a works station the board asus gtx 560 dcii top, today I had the opportunity to try it also with solidworks and I was left open mouth, the old painting 3700 was firm in comparison.
Of course, this has the ddr5, the 450 ddr3, another step.

You should try to bet on an i5, at least.

say ddr3 from 1 gb means very little, you should say the memory bus, there is a nice difference between 128 and 256 bits, in any case today a graphics card with ddr3 is definitely low-end, an i3 is enough to use autocad but if you want to make tip at least on a quad-core, 4 gb ram enough but 8 are appreciated, given the prices of the ddr3 better to abound.
as graphics card, if you can, choose between amd hd6770 or hd6850 or nvidia gtx550 or 560. as cpu a quad-core amd from 3.4 ghz is a valid choice, i5 is better but costs even more.

that it turns out does not use the muticores..so better few cores is fast that many and slower.

I speak for personal experience, my wk has a 2.5ghz xeon e5420 quad a nvidia fx3700 but is far from performing like ws.

Well, with whipthread set to 3, enable multicore autocad for redesign and regeneration (which then are the heaviest operations)

I have a q6600 (quadcore at 2.4ghz) and so slow it doesn't seem to me. In fact.
then remains the fact that it is not only autocad, on a pc. all process and system processes are however benefited from a multicore, leaving free resources of elebortion (processor time) for the kernel of autocad, don't you think?

as mentioned above I have predicted that maybe it is xp64 that does not turn well with applications studied for so more recent.

I have a picture fx3700 and autocad is far from performing the only advantage I had with this machine is the "nonlimit" of ram.

If you want to check the machine is one of the precision t7400, on the card should fly... and instead... even in 2d sometimes there are slowdowns.

with the same processor and sk. video, but with xp, mine was slower than now (which I have win 7). but with autocad no slowdowns wonder what
