I feel very strange that in three months they reduced the price of almost 40%

we take for example a designer who has autocad 2004 and wants to buy advance steel.

the retailer in December would say: autocad 2011 + advance steel 2011 = 5000 + 9000 = 14000

now in February the same offer would be reduced to only cost of advance steel because it would no longer be necessary to have a 2012 autocad.

on the new brochure it says that the graitec cad requires a separate license. It doesn't say how much it costs, but I doubt it's free.

the version is the same!!!
there are no differences!!!! if you have autocad install on autocad otherwise standalone or both!!
the cost is the same because the 2012 version is unique!!!

hi biscione, if the user has passed from a 2004 autocad to a 2011, according to me, is everything except useless, as it has, albeit always, updated a software (11-4=7 years ago! and it is likely that in seven years he will do the same thing!). As for the purchase of the previous advance anus, you cannot predict progress. the standalone version is out, but we (personally) are still working on autocad basis.

I'm sorry, but I'm not exactly your idea.
first the latest versions of autocad did not add indispensable tools. sure the interface is nicer and modern but the 2011 version is clearly heavier and slower than 2004.
Secondly, it would seem very strange to me that in December the dealer was not aware of such an exciting novelty as the possibility of using the program without the need for autocad.
starting from the assumption that the two versions have the same price, if the seller in February told me: but in December I did not know that the new version could be used in standalone mode, I would think:
Didn't you know?? How! all other reventitors are aware of the news at least six months in advance. but in what hands I have happened.

If I thought otherwise the alternatives could be:
1 you were fart because you could have told me and then I would have decided if to update autocad (ah already though you would have lost the percentage of autocad sales)
2 I think so much that the standalone version is full of trunks that cannot sell it.

If the standalone version had a price greater than the one that requires autocad I would return to think that they should tell me and make me evaluate what investment I would have wanted to do

Fortunately we have no budget problems even if the price differences between the various programs (also considering courses and a year of assistance) are around 20-25%

for example if we take the list prices (the discount range that can make retailers is for all more or less the same) the autocad applications start from the autocad base that is around 5.000€ plus the cost of the application that according to the version goes from 6.000€ to 10,000€ for a total that can vary from 11.000€ to 15.000€, while for tekla the prices vary (always according to the version.

Naturally if we do not consider the cost of autocad because it is easy to get it on the net this is another speech, but wishing to have an official license also autocad must be considered in the price of the application.

perfect analysis, however I allow me to add that you did not consider that in the price of advance steel is included a course of just 2 days while in the price of tekla is included a course for 6 days.
so if with advance steel they had to do a level course the program would cost more and the difference becomes even less.
a day of course will cost from 300 to 400 euros therefore multiplying for 4 (which are the days more than the course of tekla) are another 1200-1600 euros that should be added to the price of advance steel to make a more precise comparison

for tekla the course is 6 days divided into two sessions for three days and sincerely seemed to us few.
I'm probably the one who likes to do things more calmly, but taking a course in two days seems like a useless marathon that puts in confusion more than clarifying.
