the site is very reliable, not very fast, the last time I waited a week I know the delivery (the assembly I do it myself)
however do not have the amd firepro cards (only an old, albeit excellent, v5700, still marked ati)

Yes, but picture prices are excellent.
In the end it is not that a store can always have everything. .

Wait, what are we talking about?
e-key has excellent prices on everything but has only nvidia picture boards.
epto has good prices on firepro, a little less on the rest.

Hello everyone and pleasure to meet you!
I just signed up and did not find the link where to present itself so if no one offends the present is worth what presentation! :

I'm assembling a ws for amateur use and I don't have big funds...I would love to have a picture or equivalent card, even entry level (currently I use a gt240m 1gb)...and in light of what I said I would so much like to ask you something...

(I address to those who have let you know that you intend to change hardware)

Maybe I'll seem a bit deaf, but isn't that by chance there's someone who has "old" hardware and, although valid, gives it up because of a more or less due upgrade?

I thank all those who want to answer me and greet all the staff of this beautiful site and all the users!

I don't know if you want to use it, the cheapest picture is less than 180€ VAT included (perhaps the equivalent firepro even at something less).

I could sell my fx1500 picture (of 2007...) around 100€ so...

Hello Matteo, thank you very much for the answer!
But damn it you want to tell me that a 2007 card after 5 years is still worth 100€?! must have been a good level card! but fx1500 is better than gt240m?
Sorry ignorance!

In fact it's old I can't tell you how performance!

cmq if you make an amateur use I don't know if you want to think about a painting!

I just don't want to spend a life in front of the PC every time I have to make something.. :

If you have the opportunity to find a good workstation used in my opinion you might be fine.

However it is difficult to find someone who sells them used, but not too much vetuste. You know, once a lot of studies were spending a handful to get the most. Now they have short sleeves.

You know, you've got a mark. In fact, what I would dream of finding is just a case like what you have described...who knows how they take it if I go to some study and say, "Would you have old but still good stuff to give up?"

If you say old," they put you in front of a 386.

and then for them it is a problem to sell it, what do they write about the invoice?
the only ones who treat this stuff are some care center that works with studies, and sell material with ritio used. but as I told you, today difficult a studio sells something working.

If you make the graphics card with most programs (what would you use?) it does nothing (except the display for the rest is practically "spenta"). a picture is useless in that case. the "calculations" does all the processor, and to have good performance you have to bet on that; "big" and as fast as possible.

greetings
Mar

Sure? For example, the autodesk dealer told me that in 3dsmax it counts more than all the vga.

The old ws are usually recycled to the secretaries/office purchases, and the repentum ii of the secretary given to the parish. I think you might have more luck on ebay (the German one, I don't know why, but on the Italian one also the things used are always very expensive), but I think a new "gaming" pc is much better than a 4-5 year old ws.

to me they said so but I don't know.

during modeling, what you need is the graphics card.
but when psing the "render" button from there is all processor. Among other things many software use only 1 core, so useless to put on an 8 core, better few, but fast.

I did this very rough test.
with windows tools I checked the use of cpu during the creation and rendering of a model. Unfortunately there is no tool that indicates the use of the video card.
during modeling, despite obvious slowdowns the cpu never went beyond 70-75%, sign that the limit was elsewhere.

when I pushed "render" the use of the cpu is sketched 100% as well as for the ram, and such remained until the end of the render.

gpu-z test (not to be confused with cpu-z). :finger:
