best method to draw wire mesh

I have to draw a panel content a piece of mesh with aisi 310 mesh 50x50 mm thread 6 mm in diameter.

I look for the best method to create it

a) I use a texture and I don't care

b) I make a sweep simulating the bending to overcome one thread with the other and then with the series command I create the grid

d) I make a grid not showing plot .

size is 920x1040

use the texture because if you use the other method you weigh the file in an exaggerated manner, especially if you have many networks

I usually put in the axieme a normal sheet (to have it in separate etc. etc.) and then in the table I insert a sketch symbol with a pattern of the net... Like I was with autocad, I mean. Obviously I don't care about a "realistic" model, otherwise I would go for the texture too.

the texture is the lightest solution, but at the table you can see only if you put the shaded view (and however it is not the maximum as the size of the plot).
otherwise or put an indication as it says catafract, or if you just want to see the plot make a sheet with a square opening and serialize this.
the sweep is really too much weight.... .

textures for me too. cmq the plot of the reta can scale it to make it more suitable for your project!

or you can try using the "grille" command (under plastic parts).
I guess it's not as light as a texture, but it should be much more than a series of sweeps...

Anyway.
1000x1000x3 sheet: disk size= 76 kb
1000x1000x3 sheet with a series of 20x20 square windows of 47 mm to simulate the mesh 50 thread 3 : disk size= 912 kb.
It is true that we are 12 times the sheet , but if they are few pieces, and I want to see the plot, it doesn't block the pc...:biggrin::biggrin:

with the command "grille" weighs about 1.5mb on disk (inv. 2012). also applying the "regulation with rule" to make the thread round weighs about 2.5mb (but I don't think it is worth it). .

definitely heavier, but has the advantage of being a net with jerseys of any form and does not hide (completely) what is behind.. .
Also displayed polygons also increase exponentially.

(the last extrusion serves to give the size of 1000x1000)
