I look for a plastic box of about 70mm diameter and 10mm maximum, suitable to contain a steel strip of about 5 or 6mm thickness.
should be made in 2 parts to insert the disc and then close, a kind of box for beads or cheeses, but much more crushed and free of holes for the entrance of air...

I have searched long and wide but I do not find any company that has them in standard production (before buying hundreds I would like to try some, so I need qlc of standard).
would you give me suggestions on companies producing such boxes?

So, if we have to do it weird, weird, for your boxes to me, the records for cell cultures come to mind. here have a diameter 68 mm model and the height should be 15 mm.http://tinyurl.com/cfdcjtp In the case it was well I saw that the most common size of the diameter is 60 mm.

I think the best solution would be:

70 diameter round of the material you prefer, cnc lathe, a turning discetum makes you to tons and price decidedly contained!

excellent suggestions, I would never have arrived (at most I thought about the beads and my cheeses but they were too high), in fact even the plates found so far are too high, and, even if the possibility "tornitore" or "prototyping" I had thought of it, I had discarded them because if they had to give positive results I would not have so high quantities to make the mold and I should still look for a suitable "commercial".

Oh, for the record, the previous post "Thevelthroom" and this, they are closely linked: I need metal disks, detectable by metaldetector but protected by moisture and water and finally suitable for sliding on stainless steel or glass floors by opposing a low or very low friction coefficient (I imagined that velvety painting offered low coefficient and protection, but I am not sure..) ...
I am also considering the option of painting the iron disc with teflon ptfe and good night, but I still do not know the relative costs nor how much teflon is abrasion resistant. . .
