rotate a line with reference to a point

hi, definitely this will seem like an idiot question, but I started using autocad (vers. 2006) after 2/3 years from the last time and many commands to remind me I had to struggle a lot.

However there is this function that I just can't...

In practice I have to turn a line to another point, but I have to move only one end of the line (the second point, while the first point must remain blocked). because I can't change the length of the line.

Here, I don't know how to set the reference pin, I think: I rotate, select the object, send, specific the base point (it should be the point that acts as a pin, right?), type r (reference), send, then it comes out "specify the reference angle" and here I imply: I can never perform the function properly, but it finally comes out whenever the whole line is rotated.

When asked to specify the reference angle select first the point where the object is currently located then the point where it should be.
we define with at the fulcrum or start line, with b the end end of the line and c the new point of rotation; to the reference request you must select first b and then c
