purple = fully defined ( sufficient quotas or constraints )
blue = not fully defined lines (insufficient quotas or constraints )

If the lines intersect, it will not be possible to extrude.
the classic butterfly designed by the little girls can't do it with two long diagonals joined by two segments but you have to do it with two independent triangles.

1)Is the command projecting geometries equal to the command converting entities of the sketch (in solidworks)? If I press it I project the lines in green color, but it doesn't seem to me to be part of the sketch and then I have to trace the same lines and curves "hand".
2)Is there an option that allows you to always preview the lines drawn in the sketch? Usually if I draw a line in solidworks this always appears in the foreground, although I opened a sketch behind the solid that I have in front of the screen. in inventor instead I have to bring the cursor over the sketch to see the hidden lines
3)Can you see the contours of extruded solids?

1) Yes, the command is equal to the "convert entities" of solidworks.
the lines that project you are not of green color, but of dark purple color, they are part of the sketch and you do not need to draw us over anything, otherwise I would not see the usefulness of the command if I had in my turn retrace with lines or arches the lines that I project from the edges of other entities. projected lines are unmodified, (obviously because they belong to edges of other geometries) but you can use them as a reference for other entities of the active sketch, to hook and quota them.

2) I don't think so, but I'm not sure. However, you stand above with the mouse pointer and wait for the slider to appear, or that you will appear the window of the entities (the one that appears next to the cursor in the last version that will numerate the selected entities, for example 1 curve, 2 line, etc.).
