design disappeared

Hello, I was working on the project on autocad2013 and after saving it and closed I went to reopen it and opened a window with writing: "File already open, replace it?" I gave the ok and opened an empty page! you lost everything, you no longer see the design, not even the layers created! opens a new file with the name of the file I had saved but 34kb! what happened? Can I get it?

you can only (if you did not save more than once) try to recover the bak.

you have done the most serious damage you can do to a file, not its deletion (which is recoverable), but its overwriting.

Thank you very much, I solved it with the bak! to prevent it from happening when opening the window "ready open file, replace it?" click "no"? How can I avoid it? Thanks again, I already thought I would inevitably postpone the exam in September!

and do an automated backup of work files daily, don't you? You know otherwise that good adrenaline rush when you're close to the thesis...
I know, an external disk from 50€ or a dropbox folder or google drive free.
