Hello everyone,
I have to create a surface similar to a dome, starting with the sketches you see in the figure below.
Superficie da chiudere.webpIn practice I have a non-regular shape base and 4 lines that converge at a point that will have to be the top of the surface.
not being axial-symmetrical I cannot use feature of revolution.
Can someone suggest me how to create the surface? (leaving the base open)

Thank you.

Matteo

Bye, Mateo. .
Seeing the drawn curves, I know they're full
of cuspids(intermediate points), it would be better than before
to start, smooth them,
or even rebuild them.. in a more fluid way
after that using loft, or fill, you can build your own
surfaces
In any case from the curves I see, you will not get beautiful
surfaces... the quality of the latter depends
from the entrance curves
I don't know if the curves reflect something real or
if they are simple curves without references... .
Let us clarify this aspect first, and then we could
to face your modeling

Bye!
Meanwhile thank you for the answer!
the problem is this: this object should become the front part of a fuselage (the "nase"). in practice I took the contour of all the longitudinal trunk panels to make the base, but they have a little bit of curves and boring edges (see image below with the base).bordo.webpto make a more "displaced" approach than that figure is not the maximum because it would not go to match with the element with which I would go to mate it.
Any alternative ideas?

of each curve you have to make the loft, to one separately, no that you take all the base, how many curves are 6/8? I don't think they're all pointing to the same point.

the command "loft" to what corresponds in Italian? to the "agreement" between curves? are 4 curves that converge at one point and a closed base.

Matteo, excuse me but from what you say
I assume you're at first arms, quite fast
on the modeling tools that catia has available. . .
I regret that there is a help that works great for
the deepening of the various features and not least
various publications on the use of catia-
I have done this boring thing, but I have to say,
I'll try to show you
the process of construction of the skin..
if you send the file , you must save it with version 20 or earlier
Otherwise I can't open it. .

No, the first weapons are not.. the problem more than anything else to find a form that is "physically good". Later, as soon as I have it available, I'll send you the file with the curves.

here is the file (lightly different than that of the figure, because I tried to create the surfaces only on half, being symmetrical compared to a plane)!

I tried to make the skin.
but to do so I had to make changes to the profiles
basic designed. .
Some have inconsistencies.
elevation....
drawn by references.... or approximate
even with hyperbole-
the basic profile has many discontinuities
so I had to rebuild them
the realization of the skin in itself does not represent a great difficulty. .
the difficulty are the profiles and consistency with which they are
drawn. .
it is not enough that the profiles touch and create a wire
to claim to build a good surface-
Moreover, very important thing. . ,
missing the front surface, the contact one
with the closed profile on which to lean. . ;
In this case I arbitrarily built a sweept
but it is completely free to do so,
just to complete the skin, run
some" rappels "and make it "presentable"-
I hope that the file, where you will find all the steps can
help you...

Thank you so much! You never end up learning! Tonight, as soon as I have the pc with catia I look in detail the file!
Thank you again!

I have difficulties opening the caia file, I don't want it to have been saved with too new version (I have v5 r17). is it possible to export it in a compatible and editable format?
Thank you.

If in the v5 r17 conversion the tree disappears you can send me a screenshot of the feature tree of your file so I can play the edit?

a fuselage.. to order,... depends on the type of fuselage; what model is it? how did you get them? Did you recalcate a triptych?
the indications of alpole are wise.. You should follow them.
