Sorry but I don't understand if it is possible in the cat select faces of a solid with a window as do all 3d programs
Sometimes I need to launch for example the command deletes face or color. . .
then known with great disappointment that I respect programs like nx and even visicad there is no command in the modeling to move (muovi / wheel.) of the faces for example to stretch a piece in one direction and to make the program adapt everything. .
this is a big limit especially when you work on maths provided by the customer and without parameters.

It seems to me that the multi-selection of the faces can only be done with the ctrl (I will do some tests)

with catia select the face and then with the prism command and direction you make it stretch directly (or do a pocket, it's the same thing),

If you want to do it with multiple faces, you have to use multiple extraction and then create prism.

about the first I know that with the ctrl you can add elements but one at a time, the problem is that if you have to select 100 faces of the solid you have to make 100 clicks! !

I confirm that unfortunately you have to make 100 clicks..

personally I rarely use a different color for faces, just for a feature (maybe the size with a surface to highlight the operation) or to distinguish a drilling matrix compared to another, but the selection of many faces with the window, although useful, I do not think it is supported.

the nx face move (in the synchronous modeling) that allows you (e.g.) to move the face of a bugna with the automatically changing fittings, only a dream remains for cat.

the strange thing is that of reviewing, we expected epochal changes and additions of features (see the demands of many designers and the evolution of competition) but the only significant additions concern the price list.

It is not clear to me if it was a request for clarification on an existing command or a message to request a new command.
Anyway.
There are no direct commands in my memory. but, if you want, you could try these workarounds:
1) extract the whole solid as a surface, rewrite the area you need, sew, color changes to the sew.
2) recognize feature you used it? rebuild the area and then you can change . if it's all "started". otherwise even with the "replace face" if the surface is "bombed" : do not change it directly but you can indicate with which to replace the current one .

I saw the videos of the camera . then the other day a supplier sent us back a piece to print with some changes made with a deformed volume . not made in catia , without construction "square" , not free style ..... uhmmm . we had to take the surface as it was, "dead" and put it in our beautiful parametric construction . beautiful stuff eh .... next time from that supplier I expect the parameter file caia , not "magheggi" with other cad .

you understood and confirmed aim is what I suppose, not even the strategy of exploding in surfaces proposed by expatriate reader is feasible because conversion into surfaces causes the loss of colors assigned to solid.. .
we say that for these cases we have to arm ourselves with patience and in general with mathematicians that we import (stp, iges..) so without parameters we have no commands that help us to shorten the times of change / work on the pieces

Wrong. or better. It is true that you lose the colors previously assigned to the solid. But you don't have to color the solid first.
1) make your changes on the solid.
2) extract the surfaces of the areas you have modified;
3) apply surfaces to solid (if you have a join you do it with a unique command) with sew.
4) color change to sew operation.
done.
Try, please, before you say it doesn't work.
