continuous facade colored strips

hi! I would like to know if there is a simple way to create a continuous facade to strips of two different colors alternating between them (for example two different types of wood). because otherwise I should select one by one the panels with the tab button but I no longer finish! thank you.

you can do this:

1) family "panello a" with a parameter of material
2) family "b ring" with a parameter of material
3) family "panello a+b"
4) family "superficie"
5) project

charge family 1 and family 2 in family 3.
in family 3, add reference lines to create two surfaces. later, divide each surface with 1 horizontal division and 1 vertical. assign the panels. (a, b)
charge family 3 in family 4. create a surface. divide the surface. assign the panel a+b. assign material to each family (a, b)
