in updating the location of the reference file interrupts the operation of idm_cad giving irreversible error message.

sincerely not, being autocad 2013 I was hoping for a more celery vs help.
the problem however is found only on my pc.
on that of my colleague in fact the xrefs are loaded automatically, without being required to update the path.
from his pc I then modified the xref path making them relative. so by opening the file from my autocad the xrefs are loaded correctly.
I don't know if I've actually solved the problem, maybe just gone.
if you have other suggestions or if you understand what may have happened I listen to you.

from my colleague's pc I modified the xref path making it relative.
then opening the file from my pc the xref connected correctly without the request for route update with its crash.
