new monitor

I tried but the discussions were a little dated, so here I am asking for advice.

my monitor left and I have to replace it, prevalent use cad 3d, then usual programs type mail,word, excel etc.

looking here and there I made some ideas:
format 16:10
resolution 1920x1200 or higher
opaque monitor (short reflections)

correct as an idea? other tips?

other thing, I see many in the technical office use two monitors.
It is not clear to me why.
Is that a good choice? What benefits does it entail?

the second monitor is a comfortable luxury mainly not to make alt tab while drawing and you have to control measures on pdf, spreadsheets etc...... or on autocad to keep open on a monitor the general axieme and on the other the piece on which you work.


I took a short time ago an asus vx239 (23" 16:9) and for 150€ I would say that it has a nice price quality ratio, of 16:10 I have no idea what is on the market now

the features you thought (formed 16:10, resolution 1920x1200 or higher) are correct and common to many users of the forum, even to the monitor I bought myself time ago.

you did not specify the size. being able and having space for a proper distance, at the end bigger is better. do not fall below 20", 24" is a good option, 27" / 30" are top. I don't know if the curved monitor serves something, maybe only for very large size, I don't know.

for a more detailed analysis post technical cards and prices of what seems most interesting to you.

for the fact of the two monitors I agree with ninfh. if you have the economic and space possibilities, evil does not, but I do not think it is fundamental. if you operate with buget limits, best 1 only good monitor that 2 monitors so.

If you opt for a 27" go on higher resolutions of fhd because we are limiting as image definition....h

based on my experience I want to advise you this. I have two workstations, one with a hp zr2440w 24'' 1920x1200 and another with one of the u2715h 27'' 2560x1440. The 24'' are fine and you'll definitely not regret it, but since I bought the 27 I won't be back on a smaller one. As soon as he took it he left me a little puzzled x way of the resolute that shook the characters, but when you work at the cad is another thing. definition is impressive. I would not take a 27 with a more push resolution because I think at that point the characters are really overly small. with win you can increase their size, but it is not all pink and flowers. I have increased it by a small percentage, but with some software I have problems displaying some windows.

my boss saw this "asus vx279h-w monitor 27'" from the specifications seems a good quality/price product.

exact characteristics: vx279h comes with an ah-ips panel at + 16:9
I don't know if I switch to format 16:10...even if I saw there's only 24."
