how to use mirror control in assonometry

I set snapstyl 1 and I'm doing an adenometer of a two-door iron gate wrought at lance. made the first half I hoped to mirror and to have the second half but it is not displayed correctly: or it stands at 90° compared to the first part or it stands "to the ground". I'm not able or can't use the mirror command?
