surfaces and body division

Good afternoon to all,

since I changed software/work I didn't have a big need for you but today I have to play the wild:cool:

I ventured, as object, into the world of surfaces fundamentally to divide a body in order to obtain then 2 different parts.
I like to complicate my life every now and then.

Could someone tell me what problems (geometrics?) might have surfaces to not cut the body?

-I created more surfaces and joined them in one single
-I tried division of solid cutting, solid, divide faces
- I tried to change them to make them different.
- I tried to push the guide.

Nothing.

none of the 3 commands

I used the surfaces on solidworks and a little even on pro-e but I do not understand why here from mistakes and there is no explanation.

allego image piece

thanks in advance
Christian

Maybe the srfs don't "come" completely from the piece they have to cut.
I have often solved by stretching the ends of the srf.

in reality they always coincide.. For example here I have a thickness of 3 mm and I extruded the 3mm srf... If this is the problem would not be logical (for me) but I could explain the error

Another thing I noticed is that I did in a sketch a "zig zag" of equal lines on one side and on the other and when I selected the profile to extrude on one side took everything from the other went to pieces.. .

I'm trying to get some evidence and let you know.

Thank you.

it would be better to always send the file in these cases, so help others try on the piece.. .
in the English forum stop you immediately with messages like this:170407-01.webp170407-02.webp...and I think they're right.

but what version of inventor? Are you in sheet metal? if yes, only from 2017 (or 2016?) it is possible to have multiple frames in the sheet (losing the possibility of development, however).

2016.
and anyway it is not the maximum.
you can make multi-corps but only the same thickness

it seems that in 2018 you can make multibody sheet with different thicknesses , I have not tried yet

sembra proprio di sì:

multibody sheet metal parts now support unique rules and thickness for each body. multi-body rules can be applied to bodies in the browser, or while creating new bodies within the face, contour flange, contour roll, and lofted flange dialog.
