Hello everyone, I need to export models made with sw in bocad. I saw that it is possible through the .ifc file but often fails for some import error. I would like to know if there is also the possibility to use other types of files. Thank you.

then from what was reported to me, bocad creates a folder for every job with so many files inside, so the question I think is more complicated...I think you have to x force go through neutral formats. In the meantime, I'm informing myself...

until you know what formats law/import bocad you can not know how to export.
then as the compartment I think you can do little, or better, you have to interface with those who open your neutral file to set the export options (you) and import (usual) in a congruous way and go for attempts.

dal forum autodesk:
the possible file types the bocad application can import are pss, ssdnf, pml, pdms, staad-iii and sds formats.
I don't know if they're all but better than nothing

In fact it is essential to know how bocad behaves to be able to interface.

a good starting point.

As soon as I can get more info I let you know.
Thank you.

Hi.

between 3d formats, had bocad law ifc igs and stp.
also bocad reads neutral beams (sdnf) and dwg 3d files.
much depends on the starting geometry (complexity, size) and what you want to do later.

Bye.

hello frank and thank you x your answer.
then the situation is still pending, so I still have to assess how to interface the two software. the need arises from the fact that in the last period I began to collaborate with wood designers who use bocad for all production distinct, including numerical control files. I use sw, but I never used the numerical control files, so I could continue to model with sw and then pass the bocad strututra to develop the components for production. I don't know if I can, but well experience it.
