packaging (shrinkwrap) that does not update

copy geometry I can only do parts where I first created public geometry, not selecting the component with the procedure you indicated before, and the public geometry I can only do it at part level, not in a set.

mmmm maybe there are misunderstandings.

the public geometry is untied by the copy geometry command, you only need to recover more quickly those geometries that are repeated often, but the copy geometry you can use it regardless of the public geometry, this already happens by the wf3.
I do not remember if you can select a whole part and then select surfaces or references, it is an option linked to the creo or previous versions.
(after I try to see on an old installation I create 1).

Yes it is true, I must admit that the geometry copy I have always used it little, and always combined with the public geometry.
Anyway, I'm making up. I created a part and directly with the geometry copy I imported a set, and selecting "all solid surfaces" of a particular I acquired its surfaces. However, it does not allow me to select other components. Do I have to make a copy of geometry for every detail inserted in the set? Or am I wrong?

Yes, the copy geometri is specific to one component (that's why I said it's laborious if you have so many components), but you're free to put all the copy geometry you want for the same component (and decide its update)

Okay. All clear. Unfortunately I cannot use the geometry copy to solve the problem of mirroring the axiemi, because there are too many pieces, I have numerous reinforcement handkerchiefs, inserted with series, which I dare not think of dealing with the geometry copy.

but... by stepping back, how do you judge the method to make dx and left pieces with the packaging and the mirror part?
Is it possible to improve the mirror together ? is updated with the following changes ? thanks to the information that ... could serve to raise awareness of who is obliged to update the system.

I certainly have to mirror pieces, it is not rare that it develops only one side of the project, because the other is exactly mirrored.
But normally I avoid shrinkwrap for this step, I prefer to use the skeleton for positioning and make copies mirrored in support axieme (a vacuum where I insert the part to mirror, mirror through the usual functions of insert new mirrored part, but I use a plan or surface of the original part, not the support set, so I have only one dependence).
there is also the mirrored saver that basically does the same work I described above.
in creo 4.0 they have inserted new features, it is very close to the concept of mirror positioning of solidworks that in my opinion is very effective in this single function.

... for this step, I prefer to use the skeleton for positioning and make copies mirrored in support assemblies...
I have used this method for many projects in the past, with excellent results. in some cases the packaging with mirroring requires less preparation, apart from the numerous regenerations and refreshes shrinkwrap.

In the end it is more a matter of practicality, there is no right or wrong way, the important thing I think is to leave less external references and support mathematicians possible. . . .
