look, in my opinion it is right to assess well, change work only for money (which is very important!!!) for me is not less important than the quality of the activities that will go to do.
if your current work likes you, but you are evaluating other companies, you start already from a situation of advantage, because you are not in a hurry to change, so give yourself some time to understand what you would like to do and then (3/6 months) to search for it.
If you are in a hurry to change, then you have to be very careful because the rush does sempere sempere sempere make unsettled decisions, and therefore wrong.
I personally downloaded the app of indeed and infojobs and I must say that every day I am submerged of alerts of open positions in my field. sign up, load the cv and then run for the positions you're interested in.
another site could be linkedin but not use, but the substance is always that.

There is also a tour for interinal agencies with cv in hand, but you better check out the positions opened on the site and then maybe introduce yourself knowing already about the opportunities active in that area by the agency.

I do both one and the other job; lately, I'm focusing more on the role of particularist/dexteristic; design is beautiful, but many times customers do not know what they want and simplify too much work (in words)... you know how it works (putrope) for those who develop work as an external collaborator.

I actually thought I'd know, but then I meet people of all kinds who propose themselves as designers and eventually I can't even figure out what I have to expect when I try to support myself to overcome peak moments. vice versa when I'm the one who has to sell my job, I don't even try to make me pay at hours: I do my assessment of the value of the project that is required to me and I stand on that, right or wrong that it is. However, in the bid phase I define both the budget of expenditure for the construction of the project and the testing specifications. of both I will have to guarantee respect but also the customer must accept them in advance and this approach is generally appreciated. Yes, I also follow the same procedure; I don't say I'm not satisfied, indeed... work is very well and the earnings are good; I would like, however, to devote myself to more "mechanical and elementary" jobs, which lead to less anxiety and unknown. Perhaps I would gain less but I would be much quieter and less busy

I was convinced that I explained well in my previous post, however I simplify further. You're a designer... illustrates what you are capable of. visually.
a personal website helps to propose. in the menus of the personal sites that treat the various professions, in 90% of cases, the section that is dedicated to the illustration of the works done, is called "portfolio". It's not essential, but it's an extra thing that helps in proposing.
