Hello, everyone.
I have to recover s.p 10/10-15/10-20/10 to laser cut and bend that they have : - stainless - excellent surface roughness (paste) - excellent hardness and creep resistance.
I had thought about the duplex or super duplex.
other opinions?
Thank you.

hi new rider. What is the specific application in which you would use the material (from preference to appearance on corrosion or hardness/abrasion ? )

Hello, Antonio. .
I give more importance to abrasion in the first place but I tend to give a verification also to corrosion since they are installed inside the machines. must be satin because they pass raschiatori.what do you think?

In that case, the choice of the duplex is indicated, where I worked before using aisi 304 to realize the covers of mobile parts of the machine tools... we used it also as cover in the hull (when the trucioles jumped and there were fluids full of abrasive particles) so as to understand...then they painted it to make "nice figure" but I let you imagine how long the paint :roflmao:

if then it is given much emphasis to "mechanical resistance", less resistant to corrosion there are martensitics (e.g. aisi 440 tempered has excellent characteristics of wear resistance and hardness),I felt that they make us components for extractive industry and valve. I don't think that's the case anyway. .

another possibility is to act at the level of "surface treatment" but perhaps it is the way with more shady at the level of management of the production process (if dependent on external suppliers as in my former company). .

I would opt for the Austenitic:giggle:

l aisi 304 is what they currently mount but lasts little. most likely we will opt for the duplex. We also thought about hardox but we go out standard.

actually duplex steel has good mechanical characteristics and good corrosion resistance. is also used in some details for automotive.

I used it in the tanning industry especially for its excellent resistance to chemical agents. certainly improved by 316 which was corrupted more easily.
