cut from intersection

Hello everyone, I ask your help to solve this problem. I need to create an intersection with consequent cut of the intersected profile. I made a 3d sketch of the intersection by converting entities and intersection curve. I can't make the cut and exclude the "print" from the parallelepipedo.
Thank you very much

to attach the file
b write the software version in the profile
c quite banal, if you want to create the tube footprint on the parallelepiped, using the structural members, but also with other methods

I can't open your file, so I go to feeling about what you want to get.
in the file that allego was managed there are four configurations a starting base + 3 methods of operations.
the first folder contains the basic functions you need to create the situation. I used structural member functions to be able to apply the first method otherwise not possible, but also not using the remaining two methods also give a result.
1 method: exploits structural member functions to make pits between bodies.
2 method: use intersection function to eliminate the parts that are interconnected
3 method: use a trivial cut extrusion to the final surface of the tube to cut the parallelepiped; This method is the synthesis of the other two: in fact if using only the outer edge you get the result of the 1 method, just reverse the status of the inner edge that is set by construction to get the result of the 2 method.

I have seen the methods that you have made in the file that has attached me but unfortunately no one does to my case, or I am unable to adapt them to my problem. Now I try to explain better what I have to do. I care to vary those cylinders in space, so their position, length and inclination. I can therefore have different configurations. When I define a certain position in the space that involves an intersection of cylinders with the central body, I want these cylinders to remain such and therefore the parallelepiped, fits.

So why wouldn't they be okay?
I designed two random tubes on the floors that were good for me, but all three methods also work with tubes created on 3d sketches.
that then if you are using the recommended method in your other post tubes should not have 3d sketches, but remain leaning on plans that fit with the data table variables.
When I define a certain position in the space that involves an intersection of cylinders with the central body, I want these cylinders to remain such and therefore the parallelepiped, fits.
and that's not what the three methods do? or are you in confusion because I added a function eliminates bodies to highlight the only parallelrpedo?

look that the intersect function does not trouble. of course it is also obtainable with an extrusion size (see 3 method)
all those underfinished sketches are a holy hand to have problems in the construction of the model

all that you have suggested is great but unfortunately it does not happen to me... what I look for is in the attached image (an intersection as if the cylinder was full, I don't know if I explained). I think I have to find another way to accomplish this. Thank you for your availability

If with the functions that told you massive you can't fix you could try with the return function by performing a cut. but if the cylinder must be as if it were full, it must be full. make some geometry you need to get what you want to do, and then hide it and exclude it from any distinct. . .

is a step. file or drag it inside the schemrmata solid, without any other open files, or do open menus and choose step format

what you get with the return function is the same as the post #7, at least to me from that result.

you are the same result, but sometimes it is easier to use the return function rather than the cut with delimitation. the cut function with delimitation is not so intuitive of first touch

I used the intersection function, not cut with delimitation.
in the annex both in step format and in iges format

I meant intersection, but I mistakenly wrote delimitation. . that function is not very intuitive. However in conclusion there are many solutions and you can choose the most appropriate according to the situation you have to face from time to time.

Thank you so much! I understand how to do and adapt it to my needs, I think I will use just method 3 (y)
