Good evening,

I open this discussion to try to understand from those who have had the opportunity to try both software the differences that distinguish them.
objective differences between both.

in what is better one differently than the other? can they compare?

I am a nx user and I only saw it and I was interested in understanding their respective potential.
Unfortunately I have not found exhaustive and very clear answers, but only subjective opinions.

I thank everyone who wants to join this discussion

I

you will always find subjective opinions, shortly after April, May 7th with multibody

I share what he said @+forte , depends on usage.
I worked only with ug-nx although in my company there were also two pro\e licenses. We did the races from very navigated users and we were more or less au pair.
nx developments since then, 2008, (we arrived at nx1899) were huge. I work with a colleague who comes from clay (he worked there for 20 years) and, once tried nx, would not go back. I repeat they are absolutely subjective opinions.

I understand what you're saying guys, but there will be something better in both who can do better. example, I have worked for 10 years with solidworks and as much as it may be attached however I understand its limitations and I can describe it.
so I think that in both there is something that I can make to choose from each other as the application sector, surface management etc.
I think that if someone has to make a choice on one of the two, they should be based on objective canons to make their own assessment.

If I have to buy one I certainly can't evaluate "take this which is better because I have been working there for 10 years" and I find it difficult to understand that there are no objective differences between them (by avoiding aesthetic side).

Thanks again

If you have to make an investment on a tot of cad licenses for sure do not look at what the bevels do best or generate more quotas automatically. .

- will you have an archive of projects that you reuse? If you change cad you have to throw everything and remodel from scratch?
- Do you have any employees? if yes, what software do they know? How much would it cost to reform them from scratch?
- will you have customers? if yes, what software they use predominantly? if you change it you have compatibility issues with their projects?
- Do you have any suppliers? ...see above;
- will you have integration with other types of software (fem, cfd, cam, multibody, management, spreadsheets)? Would change create compatibility problems?

I think you should ask yourself these questions at work.

Yes, indeed the speech you do does not do absolutely a fold
