I'll give you an example: I have to send the laser cut (step+dwg) of the pieces I create a fictitious set with the pieces in the right quantity, I make a pack&go in a specific folder so that I have doubled flattened in one directory and then I launch your add-in.

the problem is the model has no position reference of the table, that is, it does not know where it is.
you know the pdm because when you give him the folders to manage, he indexes the files and keeps control.
Alternatively you could scan the disk but could result in more tables with the same name and it's not okay.
if the boards are on the same director of the part there are no problems, at the limit you could tell him about which directors to look for.

the discourse of the most configurations to put on the table, you have to act force on the views of the table, or having opened the 3d model you have to load the table with the current active configuration... We have already talked about it on the forum. Try to search....I think you can't do it, regardless of macro or not.
