the feature manager contains the functions that serve to build the model in addition to displaying the model itself (folders, bodies, surfaces. . . )
a macro is a sequence of commands, not a function and not even something belonging to the model.

creating macrofeatures is not easy, if I don't remember you have to handle more events, and according to the event you do what you need.
I landed a few years ago, but I did very little and very small things; I have a big project standing but it is so complex that managing it as a macrofeature for now is parked.
It is worth remembering, however, that creating a proprietary feature can be beneficial until you are inside your office and with your colleagues with whom it is shared.
when you deliver the file outside, who opens it needs the macro, although password protected, otherwise it does not work, sometimes creating errors in the feature manager at the first update of the part.
