copy project without reference

hi to all, I wanted to understand if it is possible to copy a project of a machine then a set with all the subparts to make a new one on the basis of that copied without taking the references of the parts from that copied. For example, I cover the whole folder, then I start working on the new set by renameing and changing the parts and I get changed on the old project. Thank you very much for the answer

hi...use the pack&go appasita function to copy the project to another location.
However if you have a project contained within a folder, copying that folder to make another one, you should not have the pb you highlighted. I do it commonly and I have never experienced that problem.

probably has components in other folders that are not copied.

you have to do the pack&go by selecting only the parts you want to edit and leaving clear the parts that must remain connected to the old together
the new set will use the new parts you made the pack and go and will continue to use the old ones you had not selected

I managed with the speech to copy the folders and below changing the codes of the new different pieces. with the pack and go unfortunately I tried, but having various groups saved in under folders, throws all the details mixed in a unique folder.

you should have simply selected to keep the original folder structure and replicated it in the folder you indicated as the destination of the pack&go
