remove part from another side

hello to all, I'm trying to remove a part from one side, keeping the one to remove, or get a similar result.
I have two parts. the one to be removed (a cutting blade) that must remain unchanged. the second part is a plastic piece. In practice the blade goes into the plastic part and therefore in the latter I need a dig of the same geometry of the blade. of course I would like a link to the part of the original blade to be maintained so that if I make changes on that they are also reflected in the dig. I can copy the blade body into the plastic part to use the boolean removal function, but then I don't know how to accurately position the blade body compared to the plastic body.
any indication of how to proceed? Thank you.

@falonef Hey, you mean parts? I attach an image. on the left, see the cutting blade. right the plastic piece in which to get the blade dig. in the image the dig is already obtained by copying the blade body into the part of the plastic piece and then changing the blade sketch to place it correctly compared to the plastic piece itself. But the solution does not satisfy me because I lose the connection to the original part of the blade. and if I change that the changes do not affect the dig. or at least it seems like um

come lo copi?
right click on the blade body in the element tree and then "copy". then right click on the body of the plastic piece and "glue" simply. In this way, in the tree, he puts me the body of the blade immediately after that of the plastic piece, but I do not have the connection to the orginal part. if instead take off with special glue and then "as result with connection", then in this case I do not know then how to move the blade to the requested position with precise measures. I could find this way would be perfect.

in the second case you should have the button for 3d constraints that allow you to place it correctly

I'm talking about the 3d constraints and not the classic constraints that you find in the sketcher

That sounds great. I forgot about the existence of these commands. I'm testing to see if the behavior is all right, but I think it's okay. Thank you.

very often you forget about this very practical option.

I kindly ask you to post the toolbar I have indicated to you so that you can help others

Sure, there she is. respecifichiamo: allows to bind in 3d a body compared to another.

I add a detail if it can be useful to someone: the glue "as result with connection" if it is done in the assembly design workbench also maintains a link to the position. in my case this was not appropriate. opening the individual parts in new windows and taking the glue into these windows, the type of connection that is created is only on geometries, so they can then be made independent movements.
