we use the engravings only to write your code on the piece, but we use the functions of the cam to do so, we do not do it ourselves.
what you ask you can do from the "incision" tool, which in turn processes the sketches on the part and that at this point you have to prepare previously (and that I suppose you already do).
as then the information "incision" is passed to the cam I do not know, having never used this function.

thanks radio, I also use engraving but I miss a bit on differentiating on the dxf that I create traces from laser cuts passing to prevent the laserista from making me pass every sign that finds

when you create the dxf for cutting (with the command saves as developed) you have the options on which to go to map each element on which color, style line, level are exported to the dxf

If instead (as in our case) use the drafting translated into dxf to send the drawings to the "lasertore" you could assign a specific line-color type to the tracks (I think you can do, but to check).

thanks I try, then since we are we would be able to automatically insert the word "on/just?" according to the fold?

you can do so: in the options replace up, down with up and down.
then save you a recall setting with a text like "full in %bo"
then call the folds and automatically exit the folds.

I confess I do not know the command properly, I remember that a long time ago we tried to use it but then, accomplice the fact that on many occasions we have to indicate a sequence of fold "regionata" and defined by our internal manual, we have desisted. but it could be the way.

I also work, always or almost, on customer step files, on standard assembling I draw the positions of accessories or assemblies directly with a cut this to allow to have the correct position once created the development. the only adjustment is not to create cuts that intersect with the external profile, and for this reason I always leave 2/3 mm respect the cutting edge.
Obviously then you have to provide a cutting board for the cutter where you indicate what you want cut and/or silkscreened. for numberings or codes to screen usually I do it on development.

As for the part of modeling from step files, I usually do a lot to use the client file, so once I open it together I create together and overlap the parts by recalculating the particular steps, (difficult that if I develop a correct step and in the modes I need) in a few simple cases I can develop the step.
