Forgive me for the stupid question, I'm trying the 2011 demo, is there a library of 2d symbols?

in the program library are symbols both 2d and 3d and hybrids. being a demo, however, I have no idea if it contains the complete library.
from the resource shovel you should try to explore the libraries folder, in application support if you are on mac os... I have no idea where it is instead on windows.
within this folder you should find files containing various types of symbols.

in "~/library/application support/vectorworks/2011/libraries" folders are empty. instead in "root/applications/vectorworks 2011/libraries" there are many "objects" 3d or hybrids, gradients, hatches etc., but of "symbols" 2d I find little stuff.
I also wondered whether it is normal that vwx files are not displayed in the preview or coverflow of the finder, it would be much more convenient to search in libraries instead of opening a file at a time from the resource browser of vectorworks.
However as they say "necessity makes virtue", not finding 2d symbols already ready to me are created in vectorworks, it is very easy and intuitive even starting from dwg.

I copied "vectorworksql.qlgenerator" in "quicklook" and as magic appeared the previews in the finder:finger:
However the demo are 5gb downloads, 7gb installed, possible that there is no miserable sink in 2d from 20kb ? :biggrin:
I understand that vectorworks is more a bim than a tyrant, but sometimes it also serves to draw a simple plant in 2d.

I have 5gb of bookcases, including texture, image props, various furnishings and sanitary ideal standard (2d) and kohler (2d/3d)... let's say that symbols are not lacking. 
Maybe they don't release them with the demo. However 5gb downloads are many!
