3d building design software

I have to learn how to make 3d models of buildings from which to quickly extract sections and plants. Would you help me decide the most suitable product for me by doing a general overview of the software on the market? a friend of mine who makes the mechanical engineer showed me solidworks and I was surprised by the speed and simplicity of use with which to build the 3d model, unfortunately I could not see the rendering part and the creation of sections and brochures for the press. Another friend of mine uses alplane and says it's very fast, I also saw some of his renderings and I have to say that I was really surprised. A computer engineer showed me a video with Maya with a bunch of moist puppets and other spatial stuff. to finish a stick I know told me to use a free software of the google that goes well the same so I am very confused and I would need 2 straight series on the topic.
I also take care of the design and calculation part of the 2d ferries and with autocad I am surprised so maybe I would need, once I made the 3d to export the sections and the brochures in autocad to go to draw the constructives and details of the hand irons.
Thanks for consulting

Forgives the message but going to navigate the sites of producers is exactly what I would not do. I would prefer to read some of your experience, advice or maybe market trend, things that I can't find on the autodesk website.

soon and thank you very much

It seems to me that revit is also a structural analysis software but I already have mastersap as a structural analysis program. You're telling me to stop him and go to revit? revit also performs dynamic shell analysis or when there are two-dimensional elements obliges the user to perform an equivalent static analysis? Is there also a design module for revit? Would you like to spend 2 words please?

soon and thanks again

no, revit is only architectural design/modelling, structural and mep. analyses of that type are required to robots (which is another product). each other (more software such as autocad, 3ds max design, inventor) are contained in a solution called building design suite. ask me what you want, expound your doubts;)
