Good morning.
I am a mechanical engineer and I take care of r&d sector cnc.
I ask if there is a format that provides the following information for each point of the model (more points, more model definition):
r1. position regarding the origin x,y,z
r2. verse of normal to the surface at the point above
r3. 6 pointers to the r1-r2 structure of adjacent points according to 6 directions (x+/x-/y+/y-/z+/z-)
stl format with simple processing meets r1 requirement; for the r2 requirement it is not clear to me how satisfying it.
