3d model on web page

they asked me to put on the website of 3d models designed with solidworks.

Do you have any advice on this? I don't like solutions that need to install various plugins.

depends on the site. on worldpress there are plugs that allow to load some extensions type stl I had solved so without installing anything to users. I suggest you talk about it with who runs the site, it easily has a tried-and-tested solution for some cad extension.

Not really, you can just see the projects but don't let them know what it's for.

or can be used https://www.blend4web.com/en/ through blender
or in addition online configurators with https://www.soft8soft.com/ always through blender or using driveworks pro
