for work project marine works (barriers, brushes, straight cliffs, etc.).
I would like to know what software you use to draw in 3d works, so you can get the sections and make the metric compute.

in the image below, you can see an example of the works I care about having a 3d model.

I don't have budget problems.
I have seen that infrastructure design suite is made up of many software, actually what do I need?

It's a field outside my skills, but I know that to do what you say there are some specific software.
one of these is autocad civil 3d: http://www.autodesk.it/products/autocad-civil-3d/overview(is what tristan refers to)

alternatively there is something of the bentley that interfaces with microstation: http://www.bentley.com/it-it/products/road+and+site+design/Maybe there's more, but I don't know them.

non ho problemi di budget.
Don't you have budget problems? Blessed you!

mainly autocad civil 3d (some month ago I did a course of civil3d to a company of lecce that did that craft), infraworks and navisworks. a corredo we can also put 3ds max for "marketing"

thanks for the answers.

1)in terms of ease of use autocad civil 3d is the best? I saw a video of brics cad and it seems easy to switch from model 2d to 3d.
2) Tristan told me about budget, are there good lowcost software?

bricscad is not a design software, it is a very simple chain cad. if you just need a 3d modeler with 500€ or a little more you buy sketchup.
vice versa if you need a design software (from what I understand you have to pull out the qto too. bricscad and similar, including autocad lt, don't do it) you have to spend a bit

return to this discussion after a couple of time.

I tried autocad civil 3d but I can't do what I need with simplicity.

I would just have a software that, starting from the model of the soil, allows me to place the works with a certain cross section (like the one in the first post) and to have the compute of the materials and any excavations.

never said it's easy:biggrin:

non credo esista un software "facile" per fare quel lavoro

thanks tristan for the answer.
would you tell me how to do what I want to do on autocad civil 3d?
