Hello everyone, I wanted a tip on which software to buy to make a discreet 3d.
the use is the following, design of plants in 2d and then furnish them, then with faithful colors (more or less) and a good quality of the final effect.
I look for a program that is intuitive and easy to use.
I have no shopping problems, of course I do not propose a program that costs 10'000,00€ :biggrin:
in principle I will use this software to furnish apartments for civil homes.
I am not interested in prospectives and what else but that the plant gives effect 3d with furniture and everything that is in a house so as to make as much truth a future situation that will then be realized and have therefore various perspectives of the plant.

archicad used it but as a quality I don't get so excited.

It would suffice sketchup with pow for rendering wanting to spend little, or even rhinoceros with module pow. Of course it depends that furniture you need, if you draw them and if you need data for production (e.g. kitchens)
if you want something more oriented to the furniture (and the design of furniture for preproduction) maybe you need something like vectorworks interiorcad xs with module renderworks (for photorealism).
if you want to make high-level light architecture then you will need vectorworks spotlight with module renderworks and interiorcad xs

As far as the exploration of the scene is concerned, I'd let the classic rendering engines lose, you need a realtime. you have various possibilities:
One is the best one, lumenrt, is closely connected to sketchup. at first you launch a precalculum on cpu, like normal renders, but in the end you have a navigable scene with very close quality to reality, in which you can walk, extrapolate shields, make animations, and give the customer the navigable file, without having the application! to use the scene you need a graphics card quite powerful, but nothing that, the latest radeon or nvidia desktop of medium/high band go more than well. or a realtime where you can import models, which only uses the graphics card with directx, type lumione, even if more suitable for outdoors, you can do anything. another pure realtime, only gpu, and finally by skechup is renderlight. Take a look. I think lumenrt is the best choice, for inside the precalculum, it will not be so heavy, depends on the scenes and the cpu you have. You evaluate. all solutions are very economical and high level for your purpose. you can safely use the free version of sk, and anyway all the engines you can try them.
 
My advice is to use bcad, it's a somewhat spartan Russian program.
you can make very precise modeling and rayt renderings, you can make path animations so you can walk through the rooms.
and it's free if you don't take that to design furniture.

I certainly did not care about imos cad cam. I knew it well and it is very complicated and expensive (other than 10,000 €.) besides, although some say no, it has various limitations in designing furniture. you can use it as a normal cabinet but it is counterproductive to spend much more when there are many others less. Good job.
 
hi to everyone, I reexumerate this old discussion to have updates after over 2 years. I would like to leave my autocad to pass to some more efficient solution without spending a boat of money. I use the cad to design buildings or renovations, so I would need to work easily in 3d.
I saw 2 products that hit me at the fair: one of the blumaticad and one of the acca.
The first one is much cheaper and has an autocad interface, so it doesn't scare me through, even if it has very easy features to design both in 2d and 3d.
the second, on the other hand, costs more, but it seems to allow to do more easily different things, provided you remain in certain standards, because it does not seem like a real cad; but I saw it in operation and it seems really very powerful.... but I do not vso if in the practical act is really so powerful.
What do you think?
What else do you suggest and why?

Why:

1) is intuitive

2) really costs little

3) there are thousands of plugins to make us practically everything (many free)

4) 2d 3d easy

rhino is a nurns modeler, it is not precisely to make rendering and animations, if not with plugins. It is also to design buildings with visualarq. revit lt instead is just bim, more suitable I would say.
