64 and 32 bit operating system

Hello people, yesterday I talked to a person and this told me that he had just purchased a laptop and who installed the various programs had also installed the 32-bit operating system "because the pc is already equipped by the origin of 64-bit system with windows 7".
but is it possible to have two operating systems running one to 32 and one to 64 mounted on the same machine?
for me he was saying a great caxxata, but not being really expert I preferred to shut up. is it not that using a vmware type victual machine this is possible?

I think it's possible, creating two partitions.
more than anything I find it useless since the 64 bit reads very well almost all 32 applications.

He says he's got 32 because 2 programs with 64 weren't well digested, so he thought it was easier to install 32 and turn them around with this, so I was told.
you answer me by saying "according to me", so you didn't test, let's see if someone here in the forum has already tried and tested and is totally working!

the "according to me" was courtesy, because the answer that gave you the tree user.and is correct and experienced.

even in my opinion it is absurd to install a double system, certainly though if you have 2 know you can't make them turn together at the same time (it is discounted I know), so it's a nice awkwardness to have to reboot to switch from 32bit to 64bit... better try to make everything work in the so to 64bit... to the limit by virtualizing the 32bit inside the 64bit.
