a little help with freecad

I've been using this program recently, certainly compared to pro engineers I use at school some lacuna has it, but overall it seems good.

Now, I found out that it can also do finite element simulations, the problem is that it only does them using mesh files.
I made a biella with this program, and it's a file type part, how do I turn it into a mesh file?
