Hello.
I wanted a hand on how to make some solid complexes in autocad. In particular, I should realize the architectural element I have attached.
I tried to execute it by extruding surfaces (at different altitudes) from circumferences and splines. only that I can create the surface of solid closures.

Thank you in advance!

The problem is that I can frame the correct geometries to extrude.
It's two ellipses and two circles to cut, right?

Is it possible to create directly as a polyline that species of c overthrows and extrude it?

That's right. but why do you want to make solid "complexes" if you don't even know the basics of modeling in autocad?

In practice extrusions are obtained from regions or closed polylines, otherwise you get surfaces.

I attach the file where you can see the 3 basic steps
- creation of 2 regions
- extrusion to obtain 2 solids
- solid union and finishing

I know that nn be a top with autocad 2d, let alone with 3d, but I have to do the drawing examination at the university and professors nn are very likely to explain it. I'm trying to find continuous guides on the internet and I don't even find a person who does 3d courses nearby.
reason why to extreme evils.. .

cmq thank you very much for helping me! You would explain how the hell you did to create those two polylines, I tried in every way! That's why I finally decided to extrude the surfaces... .

the regions I used created them with your lines.
I only cut them and finished to get 2 areas perfectly closed.
you can try to overlay my regions with your lines and see the differences

ps: professors do not explain why they know less than students. from you demand jobs that they can only imagine, and more in many cases you spend unnecessarily a lot of money for private lessons or to get made models by professionals

I finally succeeded, unfortunately I ignored the existence of the command "region".

I think I'll change work: freelance designer for university students. I will not become rich but there are prospects

I have another question to ask. I finished doing my 3d, now I would like to perform a render (not at very high levels I would never be able) but I saw that autocad in 3d modeling brings a browser of materials with which you can become your own 3d block of a certain type of material. Now my question is this: can I assign different types of material to different faces of the same block?

...can assign different types of material to different faces of the same block?
press ctrl and drag the material to the face you care about.

in realistic display you can instantly appreciate the result applied to a solid, while for the blocks, acting in the block editor, you cannot apply that view, you must then "trust" and see the result at the exit.

I forgot: to assign the material to multiple faces at the same time you must first select the various faces holding ctrl and then click on the material

Okay thanks for the answers!
but now that I have finished applying the materials (two were:smile: ) I have another doubt: Why if I put as a white fine plaster material comes out a greyish and white color?
I attach the photo of the portal and the slid I created so that I can understand better!

depends on everything or almost on light and exposure. even your photo, if you take it in conditions of not optimal lights, it will stretch to gray. in any way to me that looks like non plaster stone
