adapt dimensions of quotas

Good evening,
I have a problem I haven't been able to solve for two days.
i autocad 2010.
I have to create a room of 10,00 meters and then I draw the first line by typing the size in cm then 1000 and draws the respective line.
the problem and this, if I put the line stretched, you do not see how it should (too small) and when I go to put the measures on the quotas are so small that I recognize only a dot, I have to enlarge it to recognize it.
How can I set everything to make it workable?
and how can I set the units of measurement so that you will read instead of 1000 above the quotas 10,00 ?

Why draw in centimeters and then quote in meters?
draws directly in meters and then creates a style of altitude whose parameters (size arrows, texts, etc.) are expressed in meters.

is a "student of geometry" (=geometra), so it is part of his future profession to learn to reason both in m and in cm.
I personally avoid having the value of odds different from the real size (it is like changing the value of the dimlfac variable)
