dwg to pdf.pc3 is natively present in autocad, even in the 2011 version, the link you posted on how to create a new driver is useless, you just had to configure it as it served you.
the press program using the extension option, if you want the created pdfs to be always identical, create a rectangle from 5.5 to 205,292 (a4 with 5 mm margin) on a layer that does not print or defpoints, make sure that the plate is within the limits of the rectangle and you will see that everything will work.
