advanced surface modelling

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to learn more about self-taught solidworks, and I came across a nice pdf that deals with surface modeling in an advanced way. I was doing the second exercise, and I got stuck in one point: when it comes to making a "lofted surface" I checked and checked all the previous steps and I shouldn't have done anything wrong, I can't understand what's wrong. in the word "guide curves" despite click to select the lines that interest me nothing happens, they are not selected. I attach photos from pdf and print my exercise to better understand. Obviously on youtube even the shadow of the tutorial of this exercise aim is, I hope to find someone able to help me.

the selection can also be done with more curved guide on a sketch just have the kindness, to the selection of the entity to confirm with the green tick that you see in the mask in the middle of the screen (with single sketches this mask does not appear)

Look, I'd tell you a crap, it's been a year since I opened that discussion, I didn't go into the forum anymore, and I don't remember if I solved the problem or not.
Surely over time I learned by myself that for each series of lines a different sketch should be opened.
I returned to the forum only yesterday, after months that I did not enter, but I will certainly make sure that it never happens again that there is no response. Sorry again.
