advice on ansys 11 version

I apologize in advance if this is not the right forum but I need a little sorrow. for the thesis I have to perform a fem analysis on a monobloc hull in composite and premise that the tutor that follows me has at the disposal ansys 11, I would like to know what are the differences with version 12 and if in reality’ the skills I developed on version 11 will have been useless. I have never tried ansys 11, but I answer to the flight: the skills acquired will not be useless, anything else. First of all, because the problems of the fem simulation do not depend on the software used, and then because in future professional life you will have to get used to the maximum elasticity in the use of the software. the important thing is to fully understand the meaning of what you do and not just memorize a list of commands.
