Hello.

I would need a suggestion/ deepening.

after modeling an object for surfaces, which is trivially as a single body, I should pass subdivision of the parts that make up the product.
is it necessary to divide the surfaces according to the future parts and export them individually and then turn them into solids?
I attach some pictures as an example.
I would like to get the transparent part in solid. I simply cut out the affected surface and carry out? how does it remain connected to the original model?

Thanks :)

the question you ask does not have a trivial answer. yes it is a typical top-down modeling that presupposes thorough knowledge of nx operation.
I am always available to give some tips but this, sincerely, is an extra thing. It is as if one had the readiness to use a ferrari and asked in a forum how to get to the podium...

Dear baskets, thank you for your answer and for the shoe example:)
the top-down modeling I could handle it with solidworks without problems.
Unfortunately, however, for professional reasons, I will have to use nx and I am trying to learn from self-taught to do what I used very naturally before.
If you have a tutorial, advice or anything you think can help me learn about this type of modeling I would be very able to.

I have already responded to your post on the sw to nx passage and the only advice I give you is to completely forget about sw techniques because otherwise you stick into a blind alley that will lead you to misrepresent the software.
Unfortunately, there are no organic tutorials.
