a greeting to all the users of the forum, I am 29 years old are of roma and I make the designer. I met guys who have a carpentry and work with a record scm 110. I know the numerical control machines and what they do but I never worked on them. what I can't understand is how to switch from the 3d design made in rhinoceros to the code to make the machine work.
I explain better, once imported the design in alphacam v5 I can choose the processing and also make the preview, except the file in pgm, but when I put it in xilog plus it gives me an error of tools i.e. those in alphacam and those in xilog do not coincide apparently.
Does anyone of good will explain to me step by step what I should do?

Thank you in advance!

Well, it's actually kind of weird. I have a scm and alphacam car. cmq you must always check the tool you have on the machine (.tlg) and what has alphacam for xilog. must always coincide, otherwise besides not working can happen that you do serious damage! also always check that it did not flick in the length of the tool set in xilog.

simplify the question, once you enter the 3d made with rhinoceros in alphacam as you convert it to make it work at the scm?

more than simplify the question you changed it! anyway I use the same software I always carry out from rhino and only in iges... let's say that is what makes less mess!!! try to perform clean jobs in rhino and not to make too many conversions that alphacam is allergic practically to everything, otherwise then you have to work with the surfaces of coons and related that are half-parts of alphacam and that I still struggle to understand how a poor Christ should do to use! !

once alphacam has taken geometry (or at least tried) it is necessary to merge the geometries that have remained open, possibly convert the spline into arches if alphacam does not read them (which at the agenda). set the raw material, just a rectangle at the suitable height, and then parts with the processing. select the tool from your tooling and parts with the processing that interests you and with the appropriate bumpers, select the surface of interest, a starting point processing and the direction to go. in the end if you see all the workings ok with the simulation converts to nc... generally this is the thing that gives less trouble unless you have errors in the tools... .
