hello to all, I created a set consisting of biella piston and tree, I joined them with alignments of axes and flat alignments.
Now if I rotate the shaft the biella and the piston turn in the correct way, the problem is that they are all twisted, I explain, at the top dead point the biella is inclined of some degree, idem for the piston...the sky of the piston is not horizontal but inclined...how can I align everything?

I hope I've explained
Thank you.

What if you have? normal or academic? I may try to charge you an example.

Well, if you need, I can post the axieme file.

I try to explain a solution to you, I hope it's understandable:

the piston has reference plans (the three defaults of reference). If you click-dx on the piston and select "show the planes" you can make them visible and selectable even in the axieme, then you can use a joint bond between one of the piston planes and another plane present in the file, both one of the three reference planes of the axieme that reference plans of other components of the axieme.

I understand you very well, but I can't understand what bond I could use? so far I managed (with a little effort) to use constraints between parts but between plans I don't know how to do... :

ps. use solid edge more or less a week in leisure :d

are the same constraints that you use for the surfaces of the pieces. For example, you can put two parallel planes, the command (the box) to use is the same as you would use to bind two surfaces of two pieces.

Thank you very much! I managed it! ! !
Now I just have to find a way to do the animation and then I'm fine :d

for that there is the motion environment (exploding-rendering-soul). you just need to define a motor and then create animation

Unfortunately in v16 there is not.

must use the old motion environment.

Hi.

I don't know if it can help you. .
but if it may be easier, you can try to build a fictitious cylinder so as to assign a bond of axiality to it and then hide it. .
