Hello everyone,

I should make reliefs on a rubber strap like those indicated in the attached files. I tried with the emboss but I did not get the reluctant that I hoped as the reliefs are perpendicular to the sketch plane rather than to the point of contact with the strap. if I use the command wrap to face of emboss gives me a mistake saying that it is possible to do it only on flat, cylindrical or conical surfaces.

how can I make a profile and repeat it along a curved path?

Thank you.

all these people working for British firms....

I don't understand... I really work in Italy!! ! !
to the fact that you mention the command name in English; If you work in Italy, you will have an inventor in Italian, unless, here's the sense of my post, you don't work for a foreign company that passes you licenses from the mother house....

really tough this solution!
not so much for the difficulty but because inventor decided not to make the normal axes to a passing surface for a point. I had to invent alternative ways to get to this simple result.
I use 2010 so if you don't use it, I also attached one step just to show you the finished model.

That's exactly what I was looking for. did you realize the reliefs one by one or did you manage to make a series that follows the profile?

no one to one, the series along the path I used only for the points of work then on each point I created the normal axis to the surface and on this the perpendicular plan passing by to the point. on this floor the sketch for the extrusion that I did on both directions to be sure that it joined perfectly the strap. the same operation for all points. then I used a 1 mm offset sup, created first of all this casino, to cut the excess of the piolini.
