arch in wall

Bye to all,
I am new to this forum.
for years use autocad, addcad and 3dstudio max.
I started using archicad and decided to go to revit.
I have many doubts, but of these one in particular:
How do you make a bow in a wall?
I better explain: the doors are parameterized, there are also arches and parameterized holes?
in this regard are there families or components that can be downloaded?

in archicad (to which revit is clearly inspired) there were "doors" with real arches and arches (i.e. holes to be added in the walls, for example a portico)

looking on the net I don't find the solution and the only things about it talk about changing the wall..but I would like a parameterized thing so that from time to time I can choose the width, the height, the arrow etc. etc.
possible that there is no default or should I address an ophthalmist??? :tongue:

Hello, have you ever tried with archicad to insert a door in a wall created by you and with the arch top?
I don't think it's easy unless you change the object's gdl.
tornado a revit you can always create a family (wall-based magari) or a family of doors (or windows) parametrizzi (without going crazy with the gdl) and get the result.

What do you mean?
my experience is on autocad and I was learning (without too many claims) archicad.
seeing that revit is almost similar and that it has mentalray as a rendering engine, I was thinking of switching to the latter.
But if it is not very useful in modeling...it is better that I do not waste other resources.
I don't know.
give me a hint on what are the real motivations to use revit?

I meant that if you change software to have "only "the families of "archies" for the walls, revit does not contain default fsmiglie of such type in the archive ....
there are many families (of the components) that find both in the archive of revit, and in the site autodesk specific to revit, as well as in various sites around the web.
as it indicated roberto, families in revit can be done with simplicity, as there is no need to learn any specific programming language ....
