area of scale

I wanted to ask you for help with creating a window (scale area) in paper space.

when I try to create it gives me the message "the window can only be created in the model space" (translation made by me by a mechanic in English). in the model space I create it without problems.

I ask you help because this only makes it with drawings starting from templates of a customer in particular, with others there is no problem.

Can you tell me if there's a variable you can change to solve the problem?

window (amscarea) works solo in model space.
from the online guide:a scale area is a rectangular area in the model space that has a different scale from the model space scale. You can set a scale area to automatically create a view in a layout using a window.

quoto, although the button (window/area with scale) used is always the same in both "paper space" and "model space" changes the command that is launched.
