autocad performance problems 2018

deactivate from bios the built-in video cheda of the cpu and do tests....you will have to bang your head until you adjust the correct settings.

I agree with what you say... but the i7 770hq does not reach up to 3.8ghz?? the two pcs that I have in signing while being a fixed pc i7_3820 3.8ghz stock and 4.2ghz in oc and a notebook with i7 4800mq at clock parities have roughly the same performance, of course in oc the fixed from about 10% more performance than in some operations you notice clearly in others no depending on the software I am using.
If I make a comparison between my precision m6800 and my colleague's asus at equal cpu his heater as an oven and in the fem analysis went to "beau women" my monster had about 30°c less and finished the analysis in beauty.

autocad 2018 turns on a core2quad from 2.5 ghz, 4 gb of ram and a graphic card radeon 6870hd smooth as oil, confirming that your laptop, clearly more performing should not have problems.
autocad does not create problems of decrease of performance due to the increase of temperatures, if not engaged in rendering, uses 1 core of the cpu, practically irrelevant.
once the notebooks with dedicated graphics, they only had this, they consumed more but they were ready, even with autocad, like the fixes. Today they are obstinate to flank the dedicated graphics only to manage the 3d (videogames) and leave the 2d to the integrated intel, only for problems of autonomy, a total crap.
then add the presence of the 4k and you have reached the apex of the useless, force the intel graphics card to manage a huge amount of data that is definitely not able to do it at best.
